Greenhouse
Take a stroll through our greenhouse where you will find a unique selection of houseplants and pottery. We have the common houseplants and our staff is constantly looking for the rare ones too, we get orders regularly throughout the season and if you are looking for certain kinds we will do our best to get those in for you! We also offer custom houseplant planting if you want our experts to help with that and we can even diagnose plant problems if you bring photos or the plant in. Interested in holding a planting party? We have spaces for rent if your interest and we can help you source the materials for any houseplant related craft you’d like to do!
Annuals
Our annual department consists of around 100 different types of annuals, veggies, herbs and hanging baskets most of which are grown right here at Frisella Nursery! You will find a wide selection of flowers that work in almost any conditions in sun or shade. Our famous hanging baskets are very large and will last all the way to frost. Our vegetables are picked to make sure there are both the tried and true types as well as unique heirloom varieties. We’re known for our tomato and pepper selection especially. You will also find a fantastic selection of herbs like basil, rosemary, oregano and mints among others. Can’t find something you like in our mix? We do customer planting at Frisella too! You can leave your pots with us and we will get them planted up for you. We can also order or grow annuals if requested in advance. You will see the best selection in spring, but we have other seasons of interest as well including pansies in February/March and mums, kale and others for fall.
Perennials
Almost all of our perennial selection are grown right here at Frisella Nursery. We have an ever-growing selection of native plants as several of our staff are native-plant enthusiasts! We also have an extensive hosta selection as well. Overall we have a wide selection of perennials for sun and shade, and our shady section is very extensive. You will find our highest selection in spring but since we grow our own you will often find perennials coming in throughout the summer well into fall. Not sure how to put this together? We offer garden consultations! We have hourly sessions at our garden center or at your home. Stop by, email us or call in to set those up with us!
Trees & Shrubs
We are known most for our tree and shrub selection. Many of our trees were grown at our farm in Marthasville, MO and we are especially known for our unique specimen trees in largest sizes. We have an extensive collection of evergreens, flowering trees and your favorites like Maples, Oaks, Crabapples, Flowering Dogwoods and Redbuds. We also have dozens of different types of shrubs and we carry a nice selection of these April through October unlike other nurseries. Have a question about planting a garden? Giftshop
Our giftshop has a wide selection of gifts half of which are from local crafters right here are in the St Louis area! We have everything from handmade pottery, children’s toys to beautifully crafted garden art all and we are working on changing over most of our gift items to have a local or nature inspired theme. Looking for the perfect gifts we always take recommendations just let our staff know and we will do our best to get things ordered for you.
