Our Team

Every site is unique and how homeowners engage with the site varies. Some of us enjoy entertaining family and friends, while others are looking for a quiet, calm place to reconnect with nature. It is with this understanding that we approach each new project from a holistic point of view. With a holistic design approach we aim for each of our landscapes to be warm and inviting acting as an extension of our homes and who we are.

Tony Frisella

Tony Frisella, the smiling boy in the black and white photos scattered throughout our website, clearly grew up in this business. He learned all there was to learn about growing and landscaping in St. Louis from his father, Frisella Nursery founder, Frank Frisella. Tony is currently co-owner of Frisella Nursery and when he is not designing landscapes himself, he shares his experience and knowledge with the rest of the landscape team. If you are looking for landscaping advice, tune into Tony’s radio show, Frisella’s All Around the Yard each Saturday from 1-2pm on 97.1FM.

Tony Frisella Jr.

Tony Frisella Jr., has worked for his family’s business, Frisella Nursery, since he could hold a shovel. Throughout the last decade, Tony Jr. has developed a very distinct, natural, but balanced landscape design style and is known for his enthusiastic approach to design consultations. He excites his clients with his ability to maintain environmental integrity while creatively exceeding their vision. Tony is Frisella Nursery’s Director of Landscape Operations and is an ISA Certified Arborist and Interlocking Concrete Pavement Institute certified.

Justin Verbryck

Justin is a leader in the design office and out in the field, respected for his friendly demeanor as well as his knowledge and remarkably wide plant palette. His designs and use of material are anything but cookie cutter. Justin strikes the perfect balance between an engineer and a creative. Between horticulturist and artist with his beautiful drawings. He is truly a stand-out in the industry and in our design community. Justin attended the University of Missouri – Columbia and earned a BS in Horticulture Science with an emphasis in Landscape Design. He is also an ISA Certified Arborist and APLD certified.

Evan Winkler

Evan joined our team in the Fall of 2017 and we have all benefitted from his attention to detail unwavering work ethic. Evan assisted with the design and created the 3-D renderings of St. Louis’ first Piazza, Piazza Imo!  A Bachelor of Landscape Architecture from Virginia Tech and Master of Urban Design from Ball State, Evan has the education to back up his design chops as he goes for his Landscape Architecture degree.

Bobbie Tracy

Bobbie’s background in the aviation industry and a lifelong passion for plants make her perspective as unique as she is bubbly. She has the “eye of the customer” and uses her own experience in homeownership to extract each client’s true vision for their space. Holding a MA in Communication from Webster University, she pleasantly arms customers with details and expectations they didn’t know they needed.

Claire Weiss

Her days spent tending to boxwoods as Horticulturist in the Blanke Boxwood Garden for the Missouri Botanical Garden show Claire has a passion for plants.
